A cyberattack on the French national post office has disrupted mail and parcel delivery and shut down its online services days before Christmas.

Customers of the group’s banking arm are also currently unable to access their online banking app.

Are letters reaching the US from Europe or other countries?

I'm trying to send a basic letter, and while the USA was in the postal service's menu for its price calculator about a month ago, it has since disappeared.

In trying to do a web search for information about why this may be, I stumbled across an article saying that people in the US generally just aren't receiving mail from abroad.

I know packages were halted for a time, but the postal service for my country of residence was still sending postcards and letters.

Trying to figure out if it's worth it to drop the letter off at a mailbox this weekend or if something's up that I'm not aware of -- and whether or not the letter will reach the recipient.
