Over the past few years, I’ve been running a private cloud platform called BaezCloud, originally just for my own clients — fast, secure, privacy-respecting infrastructure tailored to real-world creative workflows.
What started as a personal solution grew into something bigger than I expected. And today, I’m proud to announce that it’s become its own fully independent company:
Nuvon is officially live.
Nuvon is a privacy-first, EU-hosted cloud infrastructure provider built from scratch with simplicity, transparency, and control at its core. We’re fully self-funded, running our own servers (no third-party “cloud”), and committed to serving individuals and small teams — not just enterprise whales.
At launch, we’re offering:
• Nuvon Drive – encrypted file sync & team cloud drive
• Nuvon SafeBackup – automated, secure server + endpoint backup
• Nuvon Photos – private photo hosting
Under the hood, we operate a serious Synology infrastructure, hosted in datacenters in the Czech Republic, currently with dual 25Gbps uplinks and loads of available bandwidth and capacity.
No throttling. No transfer limits. Just raw speed and control — the way it should be.
Because of our Synology ecosystem, we also offer seamless integration for anyone already using Synology NAS. We can extend your internal setup to remote collaborators and freelancers without sacrificing security or performance — or clogging your own pipe.
And for editors and creatives:
If you’re using Postlab, our cloud storage is already fully supported and certified. So whether you’re syncing a team project or backing up your production files, you can trust it’ll just work.

For all of Apple’s promotional talk about how #Severance is edited on a Mac, it doesn’t actually matter since they’re not even using #FCP. It just highlights how multi-User unfriendly FCP currently is. That should absolutely change. Thanks to developers like @hedge we have things like #Postlab. Which I think would be a perfect fit for a show like Severance. (2/2)

In my 2nd of 3 flights on my way back home from the #FCPCreativeSummit - up until less 3 days before I wasn’t going to attend and then out of the blue I decided to go.
Best decision ever. Seeing my friends from across the world and making new friends was priceless!
Looking forward to so many things that are yet to come, not limited to the new #Postlab, #FCP 10.7 and anything else that will happen because of the many talk and meetings that happened this past week.

Paul David Murray@davids @stevenrosenthal @whimsicallyblah Don’t get me wrong I love the idea of collaborative work. I think that #PostLab from hedge are really nailing this with their versioning system on steroids. But I am very very very skeptical about how much can be edited, colour corrected & sound designed etc at the same time. I think if you had a media factory churning out 100s of videos a week this might maybe make sense.
PSA: DO NOT store your Final Cut Libraries in ANY cloud storage sync service, be that Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, Synology Drive or LucidLink, yes, including LucidLink. Either store it locally on a folder that doesn’t sync to anything or use #Postlab — you can backup you libraries to those services, but they always need to be zipped.
