Christiaan KrasHmm that's surprising. Used #dvgrab to capture some footage from DV Tapes. There are several formats to choose from. One of them is QuickTime mov. You would've thought #Apple could handle that. But apparently the codec DV/DVCPRO is unsupported by both QuickTime and #FinalCutPro. #Compressor can't handle it either.
The raw format is being handled just fine.
This is not the first time I find Apple stuff to have zero support for some codecs. Yet #HandBrake and #ShutterEncoder do.

S★m V★rm★TLDR: you have to flip a switch in the options of the AirDrop menu, and then the video comes over in a folder, and the version of the file name with the E before the number has your cinematic moves baked in, whereas the other one is editable on import. Alternatively, you import directly from the Photos app, or by navigating to the photos in the import menu in FCP.
