SINGAPORE: Despite the emergence of a scorecard grading politicians based on their traditional stances on family values, several politicians attended this year's Pink Dot rally, with two Members of Parliament (MP) from the People's Action Party saying that it is important to speak to all communities in Singapore.

Because it's a lovely photo that I believe deserves to be on Mastodon networks as well, here is the official photo from #PinkDot Singapore for the 15th edition of the annual Pink Dot rally. It was the first Pink Dot since #Singapore repealed the colonial-era law criminalising sex between men. It's a relief that's off the book, but much hasn't changed. Last night's focus was on fighting discrimination and recognising families of all types. #LGBTQ

The #PinkDot event returned to Hong Lim Park on Saturday (Jun 18) for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic started more than two years ago.

Among the attendees was People's Action Party (PAP) Member of Parliament (MP) Henry Kwek. According to Pink Dot organisers, this is the first time an MP from the ruling PAP has attended the event.

Workers' Party MP Jamus Lim was also seen at the event.
