Because it's a lovely photo that I believe deserves to be on Mastodon networks as well, here is the official photo from #PinkDot Singapore for the 15th edition of the annual Pink Dot rally. It was the first Pink Dot since #Singapore repealed the colonial-era law criminalising sex between men. It's a relief that's off the book, but much hasn't changed. Last night's focus was on fighting discrimination and recognising families of all types. #LGBTQ
The word FAMILY spelt out in rainbow lights against a sea of pink lights. Night photo of Pink Dot pride event. @kixes
@yingtai Thank you! I had edited the image to add alt text but it doesn't seem to have worked. :(
@kixes belatedly: yes, sympathies, I hear that some apps haven't yet implemented the ability to edit posts to add alt text. The web interface does allow it though, so that might be an option for future?

Overhead night photo of an outdoor amphitheater crowded with many hundreds of pink lights, and the word "FAMILY" spelled out in rainbow lights. All surrounded by the skyline of Singapore.

@kixes darn it, I didn't know this was on, and I was pretty close that evening too

I would have loved to attend.

@Majik Are you a citizen or PR? Because of Singapore’s ridiculous laws foreigners aren’t allowed into the park to participate.
@kixes oh really. I didn't know that.
