Peter Tatchell was arrested yesterday at the pro Palestine march for carrying a sign saying "Globalise the Intafada"

#PeterTatchell has said: “The police claimed the word intifada is unlawful. The word intifada is not a crime in law.

“The police are engaged in overreach by making it an arrestable offence.

“This is part of a dangerous trend to increasingly restrict and criminalise peaceful protests.”

London's #MetPol #MetropolitanPolice continues its heroic crackdown on the new ‘crime’ of supporting #intifada against #Israel’s war crimes and #genocide. In England, nonviolent opposition to illegality is now "#hateCrime".

#PeterTatchell was arrested today for carrying an 'illegal' #GlobaliseTheIntafada banner. The brave cops are keeping London safe from a 74yo man promoting #nonviolence and opposing the illegal occupation of the #WestBank and #Gaza.

This is the portrait of the lovely #PeterTatchell which you may find in our nation's National Gallery today; all the while the gentleman concerned languishes in a jail because he has held up a word on a piece of cardboard that is now a prohibited word. The word is #Intafada. It became prohibited after members of ISIS attack innocent Australian Jews, even though no one during that wicked and evil act heard those killers say that Arabic word.
