I am a huge supporter of no kill shelters, after all, our sweet baby Enzo is from PAWS Chicago. When I realized I could run the Berlin Marathon with PAWS Chicago, I knew I found my team! PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building No Kill communities – starting with a No Kill Chicago – where all healthy and treatable pets are saved. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless animals euthanized per year in Chicago has dropped more than 80 percent. In 2016, PAWS Chicago found loving homes for more than 5,100 homeless pets. But there is more work to be done and your generosity is crucial to this effort. • Live in #Chicago
• Introduced to #programming ~18 years ago via #informix and #php.
• Met the #Python community along the way and fell in love, spent more than a decade helping grow the #community, now the former Executive Director of the Python Software Foundation (aka #psf)
• Years of #MeetingPlanning experience
• Love #weightlifting and a newly minted #marathoner (ran #ChicagoMarathon in 2022, running the #BerlinMarathon in 2023!). Love #gardening and about to start some seeds for the spring.
• I am building a more impactful way for businesses to handle vendor security questionnaires and tooling to assist with customer-facing security programs. #infosec
• Running a #startup is a new adventure for me so I am here to pick up any knowledge nuggets and experiences folks have to share.
