On Sunday, I discovered Mexico City's Paseo Dominical (Sunday roads) quite by chance. On the first three Sundays of each month, from 8 AM to 2 PM, major streets blossom into vibrant car-free zones for cyclists, skaters, and pedestrians. What a delightful scene awaited me as I stepped out of the metro into this urban oasis. 🚴♂️✨

If I am understanding correctly, #MexicoCity hosts the equivalent of #NYCDOT #SummerStreets 3x monthly (#PaseoDominical), plus a *free* equivalent of the #FiveBoroBikeTour monthly (#Cicloton), plus a nighttime equivalent of SummerStreets (#PaseoNocturno), also monthly.
THAT'S how you build a cycling culture.
I am piecing this together from various government FB pages, but it looks like one of everything will be happening while we're there!
