'Women In Sound' Initiative - Application Form
Applications are now OPEN for ALSO Festival’s new 'Women in Sound' initiative, supported by supported by Arts Council England 🎉.
What is the 'Women In Sound' initiative?
The second iteration of our inititave launches this May 2026 and aims to counter the underrepresentation of women working in sound in the UK and will nurture early-career technicians with skills-based workshops run by an industry professional and paid shifts at ALSO26 and ALSO27.
The programme is available to 4 UK-based early-career technicians and includes:
A practical, skills-based, weekend workshop with industry professionals, where all artists will be paid with expenses covered
Experience of the festival environment and a paid session working with professional artists, supported by an in-festival mentor
Lunch and travel costs
Accommodation for those travelling from outside the area
Who is eligible for the programme?
Applicants must be available for the entire weekend of ALSO26 (10 - 12th July 2026) and the ALSO27 weekend (16 - 18th July 2027) in Warwickshire.
Applicants must be available for the weekend workshop on 13th/14th June 2026.

Please complete our short application form below, designed to tell us more about you, your past experience and what you would like to get out of the programme.
Applications close Sunday, 24th May 2026 at 23:59. Submissions will be reviewed by our selection panel. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of May 2026.
