Chickweed Wintergreen, Lysimachia europaea. Neither a Wintergreen nor a Chickweed. The county flower of Nairn. In Scotland this is a woodland plant, in Northumberland it thrives under the large patches of bracken on moorland, where it gets the shade it needs - suggesting that these patches of bracken may once have been woodland. And replanting this would be a good way of controlling the bracken.
