#Taybeh is one of many Palestinian towns that will be affected by the Israeli government’s decision to officially recognise five illegal settler #outposts and expand existing #settlements in the occupied West Bank.
“The goal is for us to leave, but where will people go? We’re rooted in this land,” said Taybeh’s Mayor Sulaiman Khouriyeh.
“This town existed before Christ and it will continue to exist, God willing,” he added.

Illegal settler activity on Palestinian land
I was sad to discover that you get no resources back when deleting a structure built in an outpost.
But you do get everything (it seems!) back if you remove the entire outpost from the Beacon menu. Into your ship's hold.
I created a small outpost then removed it to check:
Hold mass is 1:1 before/after. Items in containers (solid storage, a storage box, a display case) all were returned. Items on the floor in the habitat fell to the surface of the planet.

Working on #AWS #Outposts (on-prem rack in your data centre, an extension of your cloud AZ) brings in a shift in a few paradigms.
My issue of this week was that the link to S3 is going through a much narrower bottleneck than in the cloud. Even when using #DirectConnect, it is only a fraction of the speed you normally get AND you lose the massive scaling of S3. Outposts support their own local S3, but storage is too limited for AMI and other backups.
