Followup to this earlier post – That new #Wesboro #coffeeshop opened up last weekend, we heard, and I've popped in twice while walking by just to check out the vibe.
Friendly staff, a small but broad selection of pastry and cake items, and nice decor. No WiFi apparently, but big windows so should be able to toot your visit via your mobile ok.
Walking thru my 'hood, I see a new #coffeeShop emerging. Still step ladders and paint buckets but should be close.
A long-standing #Bridgehead coffee shop closed across the street as that little local chain got bought out by a big corp. They seem to be shrinking as per big corporate modus operandi.
Hope this new one is decent. Wish it were indie, but that name sounds franchisey.
Aha - the neighbourhood is getting a #ramen shop. Great to see. Hope it's good.
Don't think I've tried their other spot on Somerset st – they took over the former Ginza Ramen location which I had tried before.
Seeing dozens and dozens of people walking thru my 'hood this afternoon with styrofoam coffee cups and matching touques. Not sure what's going on, but I feel like I've missed out on something.
What!? Who opens a new #bookstore anymore!? This is awesome. I'm vowing I will buy something when they open.
Oh man - just heard from @skatem out on errands of her own that our favourite - yet frustrating - #chaiTruck is opening a store-front in our #Westboro 'hood!
They were frustrating because it was difficult to find them predictably open, and many visits went unrewarded by luscious ginger-cardamom chai.
For locals - it's the former Freshii location near Churchill. Yay!
