so i decided to actually play the original, not open, TTD

and wow, i didn't know so many things i expect to be part of the normal game were actually added by the #OpenTTD team

here are only some of the things you can't do in the original game:

• build rails over any slope that doesn't match the rail's direction (OpenTTD may partially raise a tile to match, TTD won't)
• build more than one "diagonal" rail piece at a time
• extend an already-built train station
• change the manager's face to a specific one, rather than a random male/female one
• have maps larger than 256x256

OpenTTD asks people to please stop being mad at Atari for forcing the game off Steam: 'OpenTTD as a project retains its full independence,' and you can still get it for free

OpenTTD developer Owen Rudge says “Atari have worked collaboratively with us,” and it also put up some cash to help cover the game’s server costs.

OpenTTD pozostanie na GOG-u i Steamie, ale do jej pobrania konieczny będzie wpierw zakup ponownie wydanej Transport Tycoon Deluxe. Przy pobraniu ze strony – bez zmian. Oprócz tego Atari – wydawca TTD (bez Open) – wpłaci nieokreśloną kwotę na rozwój projektu.
