Das #OSAMC wird künftig unter dem Namen #SonojKöln und über das Handle @sonoj weitergeführt.

Wir möchten einen breiteren, vielfältigeren Querschnitt der kreativen Gesellschaft ansprechen, über die bisher stark technisch geprägte Zielgruppe hinaus. Unsere Haltung bleibt unverändert: Offenheit, Weiterführen und Weitergeben von Wissen und Werkzeugen.

Die Treffen finden weiterhin jeden dritten Mittwoch im Monat statt, und auch die Online-Kommunikation läuft wie bisher über die bestehenden Kanäle.

Mitglieder des #OSAMC haben vergangene Woche maßgeblich zum #OpenSource Programm der 33. #Tonmeistertagung des @vdt beigetragen. Mit #Performance, #RoundtableDiscussion, #Moderation und #Talk.

Für uns ist es selbstverständlich, dass guter Ton nicht zwangsläufig proprietäre Software und teure Geräte bedeutet. #FreieSoftware ermöglicht darüber hinaus #RapidPrototyping wie Darko Jankovic gezeigt hat. @thisven gab das Opener-Konzert und brauchte dafür nur @ardour #guitarix und #LV2 #Plugins.

Since I had to leave the session to go to the next talk, I just want to say thank you @archlinux for your welcoming culture. 💙

I am part of a small group of #Musicians known as #OSAMC meeting regularly and organizing the https://sonoj.org convention. We started packaging #ProAudio software at https://arch.osamc.de that isn't available in the official repos with the help of @dvzrv and try to maintain the https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Professional_audio article.

Compared to other #Linux distributions, I guess, we wouldn't have been able to contribute that easily. And this is one if the key drivers to choose #ArchLinux as a foundation for creative and independent people. 😃

Another #OneHourChallenge is about to begin at #OSAMC in #Cologne in 2024.

An diesem Wochenende, den 7. und 8. Oktober, bietet der #OSAMC mit der Sonoj Convention im @c4 ein breites Programm sogenannter Lecdems (Lecture-Demonstrations): https://sonoj.org/schedule.html

Und bei der legendären #OneHourChallenge muss innerhalb einer Stunde 🕐 aus einem vorher unbekannten Sample 🎵 mit #FreierSoftware ein Musikstück produziert werden. Im Anschluss werden gemeinsam die Ergebnisse angehört und anonym die beste Produktion gewählt. ⭐⭐⭐

Yesterday at the #Aktivkongress I co-hosted a workshop about #MediaProduction with #FreeSoftware and #OpenSource focusing on #audio and #music creation, editing and mixing.

@phil and me introduced fundamentals on #acoustics and talked about the #AlgoRave genre, for example. Additionally, we referred to #meetings and annually #events such as #OSAMC, #LinuxAudioConference, and the international #Sonoj convention in #Cologne at October, 7th & 8th this year https://sonoj.org
