Also, just in general: Maybe let's not make ANY kind of deals involving the US as long as it's a fascist dictatorship under a complete fucking doofus who proudly doesn't live up to agreements, contracts or his own word & keeps pressuring both his government & private businesses not to do so either?

Don't #NotAllAmericans me - it will do nothing except demonstrate that you don't know how anything works.

I've been following this "mutual safety standards recognition" stuff out of the US/EU talks. This could be really, really bad. It would mean that US vehicles, like those giant dangerous SUVs and pickup trucks, could be freely imported into the EU in volume without having to pass EU vehicle safety standards (like pedestrian safety). I haven't seen any organised resistance to this. Does anybody know any other organisations that are fighting this? https://etsc.eu/etsc-mutual-recognition-deal-with-u-s-will-cost-lives-on-europes-roads/

I know, I know #NotAllAmericans
It's not a matter of IF I leave the United States forever. It's a matter of when.

In the Frankfurt airport waiting for a connecting flight and there is an American talking incessantly and very loudly while wearing a Creed t-shirt and I just want to apologize to Germany and make clear that #NotAllAmericans.

I'm tempted to write an article as to why I'm utterly hostile to Americans right now.

It's obviously #NotAllAmericans, but to me, watching a whole nation reject allies whose citizens have lain down their lives for wars that were of no consequence to us, is not hurtful, it's a betrayal.

It's easy to say it's not a "whole nation", but, seriously, so many didn't vote that the apathy speaks louder than anything

@exador23 I'm sorry, but #NotAllAmericans is the new #NotAllMen #NotAllWhitePeople #NotAllCisPeople etc. 77 million Americans voted for Trump, that's more than double our population. 88 million didn't vote at all, as if nothing was at stake. That's over half the country colluding, wittingly or not. Everyone who voted for Harris has our gratitude, you included, so please don't take it personally, but I feel like it's wrong to distance the entire country from what's happening.

@Tharpa The responses I received to a post like this on Facebook were largely of the "#NotAllAmericans" sort, complete with the sort of "reasoned" arguments you'd expect on something tagged "#NotAllCops" or "#AllLivesMatter"

The American Progressive might be dead.

@FranceskaMann

I'm sorry, excuse my hostility.

You're quite correct.

I live in the first place your country will attack. It is probable I will die in that attack blown up in my home along with a hundred thousand other people in Halifax and probably something in the range of a million or so Canadians who will be murdered in that first wave.

But you're right, #NotAllAmericans is super important because words hurt.

We are past the point of words. The only currency of worth now is actions.

One thing I will not be doing: any sort of #notallAmericans bullshit. Weโ€™re a dying empire built on the blood of subjugated peoples. Those of us who benefited from that subjugation for a few centuries donโ€™t get to act surprised now. Roll up your sleeves. We fix it or we donโ€™t. Whoโ€™s responsible? We are.
@purplepadma good way to get some #NotAllAmericans responses.. :D
