The last evening of sitting out on the deck watching the lake for this year. We need to head home tomorrow from our family cabin and it doesn't look like we'll have another chance to get up here before it gets closed up in October. It was built over 100 years ago by my great- great uncle and needs to be drained before the pipes freeze since the only heat is a small wood stove. At least we did get 3 visits this year.

Visited the Winter Greenhouse again today. While my spouse was shopping (he's the gardener in our family) I wandered around and admired the display gardens.

Another lovely evening at the lake. Looking promising for the Northern lights or Persieds viewing later on. Last night we had an Aurora, but it was mostly white. It was bright enough that we could only see a few meteorites from the Persieds.

The loons are quite loud again this evening. Last night also included a very noisy Barred owl and a pack of something dog like - I'm guessing coyote. #northernwisconsin #lake #sunset
