What better way to start the week than a new guitar showing up on a Monday morning? 🎸

The fact that this one was built in Japan by my favourite guitar manufacturer (ESP) only makes it more exciting! 🤤

Don't be fooled by the LTD logo, this 2013 Eclipse was actually built in the same Tokyo factory (and to the same quality standards) than the ESP "Standard Series" and E-II instruments, only cheaper, even despite its rarity...

The newest member of the family. The Epiphone Fatoumata Diawara SG. I love how well she plays with my fuzz pedals, despite the treble bleed. The phase switch is brilliant as well.

Today’s the 1st #NGD for me since the late 90’s. Kind of weird ‘cause not only is it a guitar I’ve not tried before buying but the model itself, a (Epi)Gibson SG I’ve never played before. I used to play a friend’s LP Special (untreated wood finish like Bob Marley’s) occasionally, found that perfectly fine. Plus the SG was 1st advertised as featuring the fastest neck in the world, which works for me. My Washburn ES-335 was only a compromise, its neck a poor fit & too heavy overall.
