The fact that this one was built in Japan by my favourite guitar manufacturer (ESP) only makes it more exciting! 🤤

Don't be fooled by the LTD logo, this 2013 Eclipse was actually built in the same Tokyo factory (and to the same quality standards) than the ESP "Standard Series" and E-II instruments, only cheaper, even despite its rarity...

This week, #GuitarTuesday was also #NewGuitarDay for me, so I figured I'd share a picture of my new mistress: a gorgeous LTD Snakebyte 🎸🤘 (James Hetfield signature)

I just love the Explorer shape (being a #Metallica fan back in the 90's *might* be part of the explanation), but only the "original" one... Except for this awesome design by ESP!

I pushed back for a while as I didn't *need* a new #guitar (I already have a '91 ObG Explorer), but hey, #CarpeDiem baby 😉

I had to hammer in the bottom 3 strings. Gave up on the octave bottom & found a string that only took a few pounds before cooperating. lol

Need to find a thai wrap to hold the strings in place at the nut. The top thick string is an octave below what it should be. I'm afraid to go higher until I have something to alleviate tension b/c the nut is already broken there from last time...

Never used the top string on a 4-string w/ drop C. Now I have ext. range below. Played old riffs on it. Awesome to be able go lower!

Today, in "every problem has a solution": when you can't lift more than 2-3 kgs due to recent neck surgery (no worries, it went very well and I'm recovering just fine), a small-sized guitar might be just what you need 😉🎸

This Ibanez PGMM-31 weighs just over 2.2 kgs and is therefore fully compatible with my current condition 😎
