#MurderBot season 2 has not started production yet and to the best of my knowledge it has not started pre-production, though I could be wrong on that one. #AppleTV is proven it is fully capable of getting right back into production for a new season, but doesn't always do so. I have no clue why other what I read about how much money they lose. That also could have been wrong, but if AppleTV makes no profit it makes sense that delays would happen.

For the past couple months I've been running a 'bedtime story' automation that's working its way through The Murderbot Diaries audiobooks. Every night it starts 5 minutes further into the story and plays for an hour.

The problem is, I'm currently at an action scene in book 2 and it's mucking up my sleep schedule.

It would totally be into artists and albums that tell a story in a song or an entire album. Probably not only those, but I bet it sure would like that sort of thing.

Listening to music today and recalling Murderbot Diaries book 1 when SecUnit mentions considering listening to music while in the field, and thinking yeah... it would likely hate the music I'm currently listening to (romantic/relationship focused lyrics), but now I'm wondering what sort of music it would like.

I think it might have a wide and varied taste in music, and not necessarily like stuff with too depressing of lyrics, though maybe it would like depressing songs if they're part of entire albums that explore a narrative, and instrumental music it might be more open to various moods. So, some pop music it probably would like (I am currently listening to some pop music), but also it... might like a band like Dragonforce? :DDD I think that might be right up its alley.

Also someone needs to introduce it to TTRPG games, like Pathfinder or D&D. I think it would really like those kind of games.

dear fedi #sciencefiction readers, i am looking for a next #book. to give you an idea what i might be looking for: i've just finished #peterwatts #rifters trilogy and i enjoyed it. my favorite piece of all time is #gregegan #permutationcity (it's still haunting me after all those years). at the other hand, i could not finish #murderbot. please feel free to throw at me anything, just don't send me to check goodreads!
