Like, I want a #Minecraft modpack that someone actually took time to design, balance and test. Not just something thrown together without a second thought.
It used to be relatively easy to tell apart good from bad mods. Good mods were passion projects with creative names, art and descriptions, because they were collaborative efforts. Bad ones were, like, called "Ultimate Epic Minecraft Best", with a shitty generic image as their logo and no description.
But now, a significant amount of mods and modpacks have the same AI generated logos and/or descriptions that all sound perfect and mature.
The worst thing about this?
Both good and bad mods and modpacks now come with AI logos/descriptions! There's some really good mods that use AI for logos and descriptions because the creator isn't a native speaker or a 'good writer'. It's like that in every game now!
You can no longer tell apart a passion project from random trash now.
Back in the day, passion project creators simply asked other community members to create art for them or to refine their description. It was just a part of how the modding community worked and thrived! Nowadays, they'll just use AI because it's convenient.
How am I supposed to know whether someone just used ChatGPT to write a pack description for their excellent modpack because their English sucks, or whether they're a kid who AI generated the whole modpack as a financial grift?
Ugh.
Delta SierraWatched the first two episodes of "Fallout" today, and (mild spoilers) this season seems to focus on New Vegas, which is still my favorite.
Decided I wanted to play New Vegas again, but then remembered I still haven't tried Tale of Two Wastelands. For those not familiar, ToTW basically smooshes Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas together, with the more robust gameplay from the later carried over to the former (ammo types/crafting, weapon mods, perks, etc). Struck out a little beyond the recommended mods with improved textures and additional perks/rebalancing, and I'm happy to report rock-solid performance on my Legion Go.
I'd like to get this setup figured out in Linux, but that either means getting a mod manager to work or figuring out manual installation for 50+ mods, and I just wanted to follow a guide and start playing.
Anyways, this is *the* route to take if you want to replay FO3; it's a much better game via ToTW in my opinion.

FrugalGamerFinally got started on weapons--I was putting it off because I've never through of myself very good at them as an artist, but I think I'm changing that slowly. I tried to make each of them fun and distinct, with a theme running through each of the different materials. I still need to do deepslate and the non-offensive tools, but I think I've got a direction for those now.

#BadUpdate is a "#tethered" exploit and it only allows running games and unsigned code. You can run #Homebrew and custom launchers this way but that's not gonna help re: #OS1337!
- It does not replace #RGH3 as "hard mod" (which nowadays is chipless and only requires a #PiPico for #flashing in return, and that's needed for #XeLL aka "Xenon Linux Loader" to run #Linux on the #Xbox360.
Including the #Free60 Live-DVD!
- Best bet is still to buy a #360Slim and follow @MrMario2011 , #ModdedWarfare and espechally #WeekendModder's tutorials for #modding…
