So - installing GrapheneOS for my 83yo Dad, who is in the early stages of dementia.

On his current stock android phone, he's bombarded with Google crud trying to be 'helpful'. On this build he's got 5 easily available apps on one home screen in a large font.

Should be easier usage and less likely to accidentally download or install stuff. A definite and viable use case of GrapheneOS.

Just because it came up in a conversation with my neigbour (Suburban Mom, 2 Kids a Cat late 40's noot a Computer toucher) about how ghorrible current Android Phones (in her case Samsung) are.

Me: So what would you want from that thing?
She: It shouldn't bother me with ads for crap and it needs to run the Bank and the Government stuff Apps.

Me: Andything else.

She: The phone shouldn't be dead after 3 years because the battery went bad.

Neigbour from the other side overhearing the conversation: And I don't want to be forced to upload my fotos and videos to some company[1].
