Last night at the mapathon we had an unusually clear (drone) imagery to work with and my square had goats!!! This was an anticipatory mapping project in Manakara, Madagascar as it is cyclone season now. Local teams are going out with drones and we were helping with the remote mapping. Anyway, goats!! (I squeeed) #humanitarianmapping #missingmaps

Went to my first meet-up in a very long time, first one since COVID for sure. It was really nice to meet new people and do something together that we were all interested about. This time it was a Missing Maps and HOTS event, a Mapping Party. It was great to be able to help map rural Victoria and help identify buildings in fire-prone areas for disaster prevention/relief.

Miloslav Ofúkaný na závěr popovídal o tom, jak projekt Missing Maps žije úspěšně ve skvělé komunitě již od roku 2016 v Česku a Slovensku.

Last month, a #MissingMaps Day was held in Olomouc. Around 20 mappers came together to support #MSF teams in Tawila, Sudan, adding over 15,000 buildings to #OpenStreetMap in just one day.

Now, the whole mapping campaign in Tawila is complete, with more than 100,000 buildings and temporary shelters mapped to support the humanitarian work in the area.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this incredible effort! 👏
