There is some pretty cool stuff, for example the Lightning Project of Map Kibera, and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in mapping workshop organised by George Washington University, and many many more!

The membership did also grow with 2 organisations: 3iS and Kenya Red Cross. Welcome to this world of open mapping!

What an exciting week, the Belgian Interuniversity @TheMissingMaps Mapathon 2026 is here!

Team up with students & mapping enthusiasts to create open maps supporting my colleagues at @DoctorsWithoutBorders

It is a multi-city event which will be hosted across universities in Antwerp, Brussels, Gent, Leuven, Liège, Louvain-La-Neuve, and Namur - you can still sign up!

Tropical Cyclone Gezani has caused massive destruction in the eastern coastal town of Toamasina in Madagascar. Approximately 250,406 people have been affected, 36,807 homes destroyed, 6,874 individuals displaced and 31 fatalities.
