Hodge claims this is routine job-hunting help. But Doyle could be ambassador only as a political appointee. He'd have been only the 6th political ambassador since 1979. And the #ForeignSecretary was not told. Blatant #corruption.
I see people on Bluesky desperately trying to defend Starmer with the same lines but think about Ed Miliband today realising he's wasting HIS political credibility standing up for a man who is on his way out after the May elections anyway.
