-> His actions would be outlawed next year under his own party's Renters' Rights Bill!
-> The evicted father, a Labour voter, says: "The hypocrisy just feels like too much".
Much will depend on how the #ukgoverment responds to various recommendations made by the #electoralcommission . These include tighter restrictions on funding of campaigns and parties - not to mention less biased rules on #voterID ! The restrictions resemble those considered by #labour a year ago - but vetoed by #lordalli and #morganmcsweeney - according to 'Get In' by #patrickmaguire and #gabrielpogrund . I have hopes of the minister responsible - #rushanaraali ,
The man who bought the Labour Front Bench has been found to have broken the rules....
Well, well.....it did not 'blow over'
It's still going. And people are not going to forget it or let Labour off either, why would they? This just proves everything we suspected about our leaders, they're not for Us, they are for Them.
Unfortunately it looks as if there may be a rich vein of material to be mined with regard to #lordalli and his relationship with the #labourparty over the last year or so - relating in particular to the outcomes of selection processes of a number of parliamentary candidates who were successful in July - at least according to #michaelcrick . This is of course circumstantial and not the kind of thing one would have wished to refer to in the run up to a general election.
The expenses scandal in the late 2000s should have put paid to the expense claim culture in parliament. It is perhaps significant that #lordalli received his peerage well before this and thus may not have appreciated how far the climate had changed since then.
It's not going well, Starmer's empty and meaningless words are not convincing us or the Press.
Lord Alli has bought the Labour Front Bench
Lord Alli wouldn't be spending £700,000 out of the goodness of his heart, he will be expecting the quid pro quo. It is an insult to the nation's intelligence to play this off as anything other than sleaze.
