Much will depend on how the #ukgoverment responds to various recommendations made by the #electoralcommission . These include tighter restrictions on funding of campaigns and parties - not to mention less biased rules on #voterID ! The restrictions resemble those considered by #labour a year ago - but vetoed by #lordalli and #morganmcsweeney - according to 'Get In' by #patrickmaguire and #gabrielpogrund . I have hopes of the minister responsible - #rushanaraali ,

This status could give it problems if some of the suggestions being put forward by the #electioncommission become law. According to 'Get In' by #patrickmaguire and #gabrielpogrund - published this Thursday - #labour had planned to put a commitment to tighten up the rules over permissible donors in the manifesto. The idea came from #angelarayner and was backed strongly by #gordonbrown . They suggest it was blocked by #waheedalli and #morganmcsweeney .

The full story of this has yet to emerge but there is an interesting sidelight thrown on it to be found on pages 66-68 of 'Taken As Red' by #anushkaasthana published in September this year. More may emerge in the forthcoming book 'Get In' by #kevinmaguire and #gabrielpogrund due out early in February next year.
