This LGM talk is especially interesting: Linux color handling and management by Sebastian Wick

Wayland's finally getting full proper color management soon, and it'll work for everything, managed by the apps or not. (Wayland will take care to map colors properly if the app doesn't want to itself.)

Open source chocolate molding with porous 3d printing by Jonathan David Schroder

Turns out, the #FabLab in #Siegen does have a small vacuum forming machine. So I absolutely had to try making my own chocolate, using some tricks (porous 3d printing) learned at #lgm2024.

Tempering surprisingly worked on the first try, although the chocolate could have been a bit more liquid to properly flow into the mold.

❦ I've just returned from a great weekend at the Libre Graphics Meeting in Rennes, France. Huge thanks to @lgm for putting together such a fantastic event and to all the speakers for their valuable contributions!

It was truly motivating for me to finalize my publication on the OpenSource Ikarus Splines and offer a repository for that 1970s technique.

One of the main reasons we keep coming to #libregraphicsmeeting :

- see talk about an interesting tool
- get it and start playing with it
- oh cool but there is this thing I can't get working
- ah there's the lead developer I can just go ask
- learn 10 new things

(this time the tool is Coollab)

This morning there was an interesting presentation at #lgm about using new typographic ligatures to make written language more gender-neutral. Great ideas with graphically interesting solutions. Thanks to the "Bye Bye Binary"-collective.
