I just released my most technically complex iOS / Mac app : PanicVault - it was quite a journey to build a cross device password manager, a full website, a Google Chrome extension whilst doing the formalities associated with releasing an app using cryptography. Anyone use the Bitwarden to Keypass tools? I like to have a local backup of my data is really the reason, but most of these tools export to a file and overwrites. Is there a good way for the export to an existing file, and it does a merge type process? Also, of the tools, which seems to work best for you?

@funvill I usually go with #keypass and especially keypassXC (better UI IMO). I sync it with some #syncthing to get updates between phone/pc/server and I'm good to go.
@dmaonR @bob_zim @LukaszOlejnik And if you're looking at open source solutions, #keypass for example allows you to write plugins (C#) that "provide" the master password to keypass so that means you can develop anything you want to act as a master password provider.
@memoriesin8bit encrypted #keypass databases and #syncthing (I myself have a password database which is encrypted with keys derived from a combination of a master password and biometric information, but that's a little overkill in most cases. In any case... no 3rd party hosted password services for me)
