Me, playing powerwash sim: Hell Yeah
Me, cleaning my room: Oh Hell No

Continuing the design of the sound system of Marble Game. Since the game is modular in design, a track can be a series of different track objects - and a marble rolling there will "hit" a new object constantly. So in this case I don't want to play sounds.

I could do this easy saying marbles can only play sounds after free falling. But then I'd get no sounds when marbles collide.

So what I need is to identify not just the object we hit and at which speed, but also the impact angle.

Since I could never be bothered to read the books, I am playing some Youtube videos about the universe of Dune and I stumbled over one today about aliens in the Dune universe and I found that very curious. Not because of the topic, but because I saw that exact video on another channel just a few days ago. Just that this new video used extremely generic pictures and the voice sounded so monotone, I doubt it was actually spoken by a human.
Sometimes I vent and people show up with torches and pitchforks. Sometimes I vent and this happens.

Remember Stadia?

Yeah, me neither.

Watching that supercut and suddenly I hear my own voice and what the fuck god that was so long ago.

I remember when this cast was over I was still sitting in voice chat with Ross for almost an hour and we talked about so many things.

"Software is never yours". So sick of that argument. Look: If you give me a way to back up the software and I can put it on a device and use the software without any "help" from an external service (See GOG offline installers), then for all intends and purposes, it's mine. Otherwise it's not.
Is like... one of my favorite games is Doom Eternal. But I waited for a massive discount because I could lose it at any given moment. Denuvo may just disintegrate or I may lose access to my Steam account for any reason. Valve's a good company, but it can TECHNICALLY happen. The game's not mine.
I've really not been as vocal about the campaign as I should. Cause I've been beating that drum for 20+ years and I'm just so tired. Cause now people get upset about "Nintendo can brick your Switch by banning you from their online services" which is just the result of the state of games in general.
This video is such a good supercut showing all the things that led to @StopKillingGames . The "chop off your fingers" analogy made me smile sadly cause talking with people why I don't want DRM in my games fits this so perfectly.
