Karla Thaynnara aveva 25 anni e migliaia di follower sui social. Lo scorso 3 marzo è morta in seguito a un incidente stradale e il padre, non riuscendo a sopportare il dolore, si è tolto la vita. Una doppia tragedia che viene raccontata dal Correio Braziliense.
La dinamica dell’incidente
La moto sui viaggiava Karla si è scontrata con un’auto su un’autostrada vicino a Brasília. Una volta caduta sull’asfalto, la ragazza è stata travolta da un camion che non è riuscito ad evitare l’impatto. Suo padre, l’ufficiale di polizia militare in pensione José Carlos Andrade Nogueira, giunto sul luogo dell’incidente, dopo aver appreso della morte della figlia, si è tolto la vita malgrado gli agenti intervenuti sul posto abbiano tentato invano di intervenire.
Poco dopo l’incidente, la famiglia ha rilasciato una dichiarazione sul profilo Instagram di Karla: “Cari amici e familiari. È con grande tristezza che annunciamo la scomparsa di Karla Thaynnara. È rimasta coinvolta in un incidente in moto e non è sopravvissuta. Ringraziamo tutti per il sostegno e chiediamo preghiere”. Karla lascia una figlia piccola. Sui social era solita condividere scatti non solo con lei e con i genitori, ma anche foto che evidenziavano la sua passione per le moto e per il fitness.

Karla Thaynnara was 25 years old and had thousands of followers on social media. She died on March 3rd as a result of a traffic accident, and her father, unable to bear the pain, took his own life. A double tragedy that is being reported by the Correio Braziliense.

The Dynamics of the Accident
The motorcycle Karla was riding collided with a car on a highway near Brasília. After falling onto the asphalt, the girl was run over by a truck that was unable to avoid the impact. Her father, the retired military police officer José Carlos Andrade Nogueira, arrived at the scene of the accident after learning of his daughter's death, and took his own life despite the officers present attempting to intervene in vain.

Shortly after the accident, the family released a statement on Karla’s Instagram profile: “Dear friends and family. It is with great sadness that we announce the disappearance of Karla Thaynnara. She was involved in a motorcycle accident and did not survive. We thank you all for your support and ask for prayers.” Karla leaves behind a young daughter. On social media, she was accustomed to sharing snapshots not only with her and her parents, but also photos that highlighted her passion for motorcycles and fitness.

#Karla erzählt die wahre Geschichte eines mutigen Mädchens, das Anfang der 1960er Jahre ihren eigenen Vater wegen Missbrauchs vor Gericht brachte.

Wichtig und auf verbalem Wege gut dargelegt - nur fehlt uns das filmisch wirklich Eindrückliche und dem allgemeinen Lob für die Schauspieler*innen können wir uns auch nicht so wirklich anschließen.

Für die richtigen Anlässe ist dieser #Film dennoch wertvoll, wenn das Thema dahinter anschließend weiter vertieft wird.

Der Spielfilm „Karla“ spielt in den frühen 60-igern der alten Bundesrepublik Deutschland.

Das Spielfilmdebüt der Regisseurin Christina Tournatzés bedient eine sehr langsame – nicht langatmige – Filmsprache: mit Bildern, die das Unsagbare mitteilen.

Als Zuschauender bin ich gebannt vom Zusammenspiel der 12-jährigen Karla, dem Richter und seiner Sekretärin. Auch die biografischen Hinweise zu diesen Erwachsenen sind wichtig und lassen ihr Handeln und Empathie gegenüber Karla verstehen. Dieses „Trio“ macht Mut und überzeugt, dass in so einer schwierigen Zeit couragiertes Handeln wichtig und möglich ist. Beeindruckend auch, dass der Film auf musikalische Untermalung verzichtet, wobei die Originalmusik eine wichtige Rolle spielt.

Schauspielerisch ist „Karla“ top, besonders was das „Trio“ betrifft – auch die Neben-Rolle des Staatsanwaltes hat mich sehr überzeugt und beeindruckt.

Und zuletzt: Die Filmsets und Kostüme sind sehr genau recherchiert und „gebaut“ ..interessant auch der Hut der Sekretärin..das ist Mode der 30-iger Jahre, vermutlich versteht sich das als ein Hinweis auf eine Liebesgeschichte in ihren jungen Jahren.

Also: ins Kino gehen!

#AlecGuinness portrayed #GeorgeSmiley in a twelve-part tv series of the first and third books of #JohnLeCarre 's great #Karla trilogy. As they say of other spies, nobody does him better. I've re-watched this television a dozen times, and re-read all three books so many times I've lost count.

The #BBC decided not to film the second book, #TheHonourableSchoolboy. Budget was tight. A good deal of THB is set in China and South-East Asia, prohibitively expensive for the BBC in the 70s. Indeed they re-located the short Hong Kong section of #TinkerTailorSoldierSpy to Portugal in the first series for the same reason. An effective and meaningful transfer, and it didn't affect the plot.

In my most recent re-watching, I noticed hints of what might have been. #Smiley visits Jerry Westerby, played by #JossAckland, in a bar near Fleet Street, to find out what he had heard in Czechoslovakia at the time that Jim Prideaux was shot and caught. This is a scene of great intelligence and sensitivity.

Jerry behaves like a bumbling alcoholic English journo, glad-handing George and suggesting that all that he heard was rumour and not to be taken seriously. Jerry reveals what he knows; and particularly, when he reported the Russian manoeuvres to Toby Esterhazy, how Toby called him back to slap him down and warn him off. Jerry says of Toby: 'Rum chap. But good!' As if to brush away this strange encounter as a social mix-up.

But Jerry knows George is out of the Circus, and immediately realises that he's on the cold trail of something important, clearly not on Circus instructions. This isn't stated explicitly. He's exquisitely sensitive to George's enigmatic smiles and hints.

Jerry never tells anyone at the Circus that he was approached by George in the hunt for the mole. If he had - say, to buy his way back into service with Toby - then George would have been blown and Karla would have continued to destroy the Circus. None of this is explicitly stated in either the book or the tv series.

In THB, George recollects Jerry's discretion and realises that he's someone he can trust - and exploit. He puts him on the trail of another mole planted by Karla, this time in China.

THB is a great and epic tragedy for Jerry and the Ko brothers, who are cynically martyred for the fate of the Circus. It is completely different in mood from Tinker Tailor or #SmileysPeople. In the tv series, the nearest portrayal of this tragedy is the fate of #BerylReid 's Russia-watcher Connie Sachs, a dying and betrayed Circus researcher. Her tragedy spans the three books. For Connie, THB is an Indian summer: George drafts her back to spar with her China-watcher counterpart, Doc di Salis. She animates the imagination and creativity of the Circus during its ordeal. But Jerry's story in THB is an attempt at redemption, ended with his death at the hands of the man he trusted, and who trusted him, in a pub in Fleet Street.

I know, watching this single scene, how agonising it must have been for the BBC to leave out THB. Joss Ackland and Alec Guinness were perfectly matched - so different, so sympathetic, so sensitive to the plot, theme and mood of their single scene together. Ackland would have been an unforgettable honourable schoolboy. Jerry is a character who lives in my head, and who Ackland personifies, even if only in my imagination.
