The plastic strap buckles tend to crack and drop a kayak, canoe, or any large suspended load down on you leading to injuries. Apparently the straps and buckles are strong enough to hold bicycles. Affected is model RS2300. About 25,140 of these ceiling hoists were sold in the US and about 3,390 were sold in Canada at REI and various other independent stores and online at Amazon.com and designbydelta.com.
