@erikcats @RollleafD @KaldorKal The struggle is real building and painting the #Stingwings. I agree @RollleafD that the models have a cool look but I can relate to the student finding them too fiddly.
#Hivestorm was my on ramp for Kill Team, and first models I've worked with in years that weren't push-fit or resin prints. From a building perspective I agree that the KT Starter Set is a softer on ramp but I think the sculpted details may intimidate novice painters.
Slow going (I have too many other hobbies completing for my time 😅) but that's the second piece of the Hivestorm terrain finished!
Nap time hobby achievements. Got my papier-mâché backdrop moving for #FediPaint. Waiting for that to dry then I’ll cover it in a texture, and get it sprayed. Hoping to do some post bedtime work on the mini itself later.
Second - a big session drybrushing #Volkus terrain yesterday, I followed up adding the contrasts to get things popping. All that’s left is one fortress and a piece of scatter I missed on the drybrush rally.
