Developing Postgraduate Programs at the Faculty of Education, Sana'a University, in Light of Contemporary Experiences of Interdisciplinary Studies <span class="so-article-trans-title" dir="auto"> Translated title: تطويرُ برامجِ الدِّراسات العُليا بكليةِ التَّربية في جامعة صنعَاء على ضوءِ التجاربِ المُعاصرة للدِّراساتِ البينيَّة – تصوُّرٌ مقترَح </span>

<p xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" class="first" dir="auto" id="d19307570e39">The aim of this research is to identify the reality of postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Education, Sana'a University, according to the approach of interdisciplinary studies, and to review Arab and international experiences in developing postgraduate programs. It also aims to provide a proposed vision for the development of postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Education, Sana'a University, based on those experiences. The research used the descriptive-analytical method and found that faculty members at the Faculty of Education do not agree that postgraduate programs at the college are being conducted according to interdisciplinary studies. The research revealed that many Arab and international universities are interested in developing their postgraduate programs to align with the interdisciplinary approach. They have introduced new programs with an interdisciplinary focus such as Information Systems, Multimedia Systems, International Education Management, Hotel Management, Heritage Preservation and Site Management, Psychophysiology, Behavioral Economics, Clinical Nutrition, and others. Financial support was also provided for research and for researchers who conduct their studies according to the interdisciplinary approach. Interdisciplinary work teams were formed, which brought together different specializations. The research concluded with a proposed vision for the development of postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Education, including objectives, mechanisms, barriers, and proposed new programs such as International Education, Digital Education, Comprehensive Education, Media Education, and Coexistence Education. </p><p xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" class="first" dir="auto" id="d19307570e42">هدف البحثُ إلى معرفةِ واقع برامج الدراسات العليا بكلية التربية في جامعة صنعاء وفق مدخل الدراسات البينية، واستقراء التجارب العربية والعالمية في تطوير برامج الدراسات العليا، وإلى تقديم تصور مقترَح لتطوير برامج الدراسات العليا بكلية التربية في جامعةِ صنعاء في ضوء تلك التجارب. وقد استخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتوصل إلى أن أعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية التربية غير موافقين على أن تنفَّذ برامجُ الدراسات العليا بالكلية وفق الدراسات البينية، كما كشف البحث أن كثيرًا من الجامعات العربية والعالمية مهتمة بتطوير برامجها العليا بما يتلاءم مع بينية التخصصات، وقد طَرحت برامج جديدةً ذات توجه بيني مثل: تخصُّص نظم المعلومات، وبرنامج نظم الوسائط المتعددة، وبرنامج إدارة التعليم الدولي، وبرنامج إدارة الفنادق، وبرنامج الحفاظ على التراث وإدارة المواقع، وبرنامج علم النفس الفسيولوجي، وبرنامج الاقتصاد السلوكي، وبرنامج التغذية الإكلينيكية، وغيرها من البرامج، وقدمت الدعم المالي للأبحاث وللباحثين الذين يُجرون أبحاثهم وفق مدخل التخصصات البينية، كما شكَّلت فرق العمل التي تجمع بين تخصصات بينية مختلفة. وقد خرج البحث بتصور مقترح لتطوير برامج الدراسات العليا بكلية التربية، يتضمن: المنطلقاتِ، والأهدافَ، والآليات والمعوقات، كما اقترح برامج جديدة مثل: برنامج التربية الدولية، وبرنامج التربية الرقمية، وبرنامج التربية الشامل، وبرنامج التربية الإعلامية، وبرنامج التعايش المشترك. </p>

I used to attend a university for a diploma in computer engineering. After a few semesters, I decided to stop studying there. I needed to withdraw. However, what they call "student peers"—I am not sure what the term is in English—were being reductionist and maximalist regarding the official documents, stating that I had already agreed to and chosen the university and the study program in the online application form. This is not fair. I believe it is important to treat each person as an individual, as a whole person, rather than merely considering what I have done to prevent me from leaving. I wasn't there to fulfill their collectivist culture, believing I should prioritize the university's name and dignity at the cost of my own. At the moment, I want to take a break from writing this, as my mind is troubled by thoughts of my past, including the emotional abuse I experienced from the university staff.
