So I'm continuing my deep dive music listening, and I came across a charity recording from the mid-80's that I hadn't known about before. We all know about Band Aid and USA For Africa, but in the mid-80's, there was Hear N' Aid... a supergroup of hard rock and heavy metal musicians that recorded a song called "Stars," which raised money for famine relief in Africa.

This project was organized by Ronnie James Dio, Jimmy Bain, and Vivian Campell, and it brought together a number of rock and metal stars of the era: Dio, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Quiet Riot, Dokken, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Queensryche, Yngwie Malmsteen, Journey, and Night Ranger, among others.
