FYI for anyone building HealthKit apps across iOS and watchOS:

If you’re testing on iOS 26.4 beta 2 / watchOS 26.4 beta 2 and seeing HealthKit syncing issues between iPhone and Apple Watch, it’s not your code.

The problem appears to come from the current beta.

On stable releases, HealthKit syncing works normally.

Save yourself the debugging time. 🫡

Is there any reason an #AppleWatch would refuse to use sleep / heart-rate / blood oxygen and breathing data not sourced by itself (but present in the health app) for over-night vitals info?

I've been tracking my sleep with an #Oura Ring lately because it has more accurate measurements than the watch and also gets pretty much all the same metrics but my Apple Watch simply shows me a blank vitals card with the subtext "over night vitals required".. well, duh, they're right there in Health???
