Il ministro della Sicurezza Nazionale di Israele Itamar Ben-Gvir ha visitato il porto di Ashdod, dove sono detenuti gli attivisti della Global Sumud Flotilla fermati tra ieri e lunedì mentre navigavano verso Gaza. Nei filmati diffusi dal ministro sul proprio profilo X, lo si vede camminare tra i fermati, a terra ammanettati e bendati, e gridare: “Benvenuti in Israele, siamo i proprietari di questa casa“. In un altro filmato, si vede un attivista avvicinarsi al ministro e venire legato a terra dagli agenti dello Shin Bet. Lo si vede anche dire a uno degli attivisti “Am Yisrael Chai” (Sono Israele), con la parola “Hatikva” (Viva!) in sottofondo. “Sono venuti con molto orgoglio, guardate come sono ridotti ora”, ha poi affermato Ben Gvir, “non sono eroi o altro, sono sostenitori del terrorismo. Chiedo a Netanyahu di consegnarmeli per lungo tempo nelle prigioni antiterrorismo”. Un video simile è stato diffuso anche dalla ministra dei Trasporti Miri Regev, dove la si vede camminare sulla nave della marina israeliana usata per trasportare gli attivisti: “Ora gli facciamo ascoltare l’inno israeliano in loop”

In videos released by the minister on his X profile, he is seen walking among the detainees, lying bound and blindfolded, and shouting: “Welcome to Israel, we are the owners of this house.” In another video, an activist is seen approaching the minister and being tied to the ground by Shin Bet agents. He is also seen saying to one of the activists “Am Yisrael Chai” (May Israel Live), with the word “Hatikva” (Long Live!) in the background. “I came with great pride, look at how they are now,” Ben Gvir said, “they are not heroes or anything, they are supporters of terrorism. I ask Netanyahu to keep them in the anti-terrorism prisons for a long time.” A similar video was also released by Transport Minister Miri Regev, where she is seen walking on the Israeli Navy ship used to transport the activists: “Now we are making them listen to the Israeli national anthem on repeat.”
