31 May 1941 | An Italian Jewish boy Mario Sonnino was born in Rome (on the left).
On 23 October 1943, he was murdered in a gas chamber at #Auschwitz II-Birkenau. He was killed together with his sister Césira and his brother Sandro.
דער קערפער פֿון השם"The #CukermansGateFoundation was established on March 10, 2009, in order to preserve the #synagogue of #Bedzin.
In 2024, the foundation gained ownership of the Bedzin #GhettoFightersHouse, where a local branch of the #JewishCombatOrganization (formed in 1941 on the advice of #MordechaiAnielewicz, who later fought and was most likely killed during the #WarsawGhettouprising), fought back against the #Nazis ahead of the #ghetto's liquidation in August 1943.
The #Będzinuprising was led by 29-year-old #FrumkaPłotnicka, who had only weeks earlier fought in the #WarsawGhetto uprising.
All of those who fought at the house were killed by the Nazis, and as soon as the uprising ended, the remaining #Jewish residents were taken to #Auschwitz."

In September 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz from Mechelen and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
