Watching "Hack my Home" with sick kids and a few thoughts:
- they've repeated the word "hack" so often that it's lost all meaning to me
- there's a real late stage capitalist vibe to the whole thing. "Here's another family in an obviously inappropriate house. Despite both parents working full time they can't afford to move. Now we're going to make it _slightly_ more comfortable. And then we'll make a TV show about it!"

"Let's put in the books backwards to give it a slick look" - an actual quote from a home redesign show #hackMyHome

#hackMyHome is not it #Netflix.

Why don't they just do a home renovation show with Ikea stuff and design it all nice. Something more relatable than some meme "wall that turns" 🙄

#HackMyHome has me hooked
I'm mostly open minded, but if you put books backwards in the shelf you can just go fuck yourselves. #hackmyhome #interiordesign

I've watched all 8 episodes of #HackMyHome on Netflix over the last few days, and quite enjoyed it. The main cast members are all delightful, and the concept is cute.

I think maybe some of their solutions might be a little tricky for maintenance, and it often seems that they don't provide enough storage for all of the stuff shown in the "before" footage.

But overall I enjoyed it a lot, and I hope they renew the show.
