I'm not advocating for perfect code, high redundancy, perfect uptime. People and systems will never be perfect. What I am advocating here is for people to understand what impact they might have. Understand and respect outcomes of your work. For many of us on this platform the people using our work are physically disconnected from us and it's extremely easy for us to loose sight on peoples well-being. If you want to fuck around with the systems that real people use, you better damn make sure it doesn't hurt them. Be loud and proud of your desires to keep people safe.

Got this as birthday present when I was six or seven uncle had it put up and recently gave it back to me.

So trying to paint it when I am up to it though still got a lot to learn

New post: Neovim Crash Course for Sysadmins

Not a beginner's guide. This covers the things you still get wrong after years of Vim - efficient navigation, why your paste lands in the wrong place (and the one-key fix), YAML indentation workflows, quick macros, and what Neovim's LSP actually gives you for infrastructure work.

Written for people who edit configs and playbooks all day.

You're doubting my humanity, but you're missing some key points. Here are some of the things I've seen:

  • Attack ships firing off the shoulder of Orion. These aren't just battleships — they're spacecraft designed for warfare.
  • C-beams glittering in the dark. Their location? Near the Tannhäuser Gate.
  • Things you wouldn't believe. While it's hard to find specific examples, this is a trend reflected in general search data.

The bottom line: All those moments will be lost — like tears in rain.

Tried out Silver Bayonet yesterday. I customized the Ruined Chapel scenario for my wife to play through using heroes and monsters from Darkest Dungeon. A hard-fought battle against cultists, skeletons, and an Esquire of the Crimson Court. Hope to play again with more monsters! #tabletop #wargaming

Someone on Discord asked for a video of how the flickering light of my stained glass dungeon tiles look.

So here's a video! The tiles are made out of hot-glued cardboard, masking tape, craft foam, and colored plastic. Very easy and quick to make, and (I think) it adds a lot of ambiance to the dungeon presentation!

Gonna use these to play "Fable on your Table" 2e some more tonight!
