Very, very old #HIGNIFY from 1992 with Peter Cook and Douglas Adams. Fascinating how the show has changed since - this is very close to the knuckle with lots of very cutting allegations in it. Peter Cook was quite excellent. Not sure I miss Angus Deayton’s hosting style.
Just finished watching HIGNFY on BBC One and... Oooff that was a tough watch for the first half.
Understandably Ian Hislop is going to dunk on Andrea Jenkyns - what on earth was she thinking when she agreed to go on the show?? That she would get a free pass?? That the Tories were somehow popular??
The part where Jenkyns said the audience was selected and Hislop replied this isn't GB News was a brilliant comeback though.
