i set up an Action Layer specifically for the Air Force One GATE at the Gold Saucer, with gyro for mouse aim and R1 set to mouse click because that's way more accurate than aiming with a thumbstick

is it excessive? probably. could I just use my mouse for AF1 instead? yes

The #gyro on the #SteamDeck is just sooooooooo good. Early this morning I sniped far far away adversaries in #Farlight84 and it is soooooo nice compared to controllers I use regularly. #gyroaim

Xbox should get with the program and have a gyro controller already.

They are the ONLY console holding us back from gyro aim as a standard feature. PS supports it! Switch supports it! PC supports it!

PS even supported it in the PS4 era, just nothing used it for some reason. It was just dismissed as a gimmick, like the trackpad (which is actually quite useful on the PC, by the way). The PS5 generation of games is just making more use of an already existing feature.

and talking about menus, the gyro options for Ironwail now have their own. Calibration also works but it still needs an indication like a popup or something that calibration is happening. Other than that just a few tweaks left.

And now it's already playable including gyro enable/disable button and natural sensitivity. Only functional thing that's still missing is calibration as you can see by the drift in the beginning.
Quite amazed how easy SDL makes this.
