That was the longest Friday I have ever had in my entire life. I’m beyond bagged, but need at least an hour before I join the land of the dead.

I wanted something I haven’t heard front to back in a long time. So I decided on MY favorite Gun Club record, which also happens to have one of my Desert Island Songs on it in “Hearts”.

When you get a Cocteau Twin involved with the making of your record, you know you’re going to visit some new and exciting places. The record is more spacious, SPACED OUT, & shimmery than their previous albums, but the band are very much still themselves.
Just evolving.

Έφυγε το '96 από εγκεφαλική αιμορραγία μόλις 38 ετών και θάφτηκε σε βουδιστική τελετή παίρνοντας το όνομα Shaku Chi Ken.

Dear pro-gun folks of Mastodon.

I would be really interested in your position about this issue.
Until coming here, I wasn't aware that in the US there are people on the radical left that are quite vocal pro-gun. As far as I understood, the argument is that really oppressed people in the US (e.g. trans and black folks) have very valid reasons to fer for their lives because of heavily armed and violent right-wing militia. And any gun regulation would be used first and foremost to disarm the minorities, resulting in a situation where fascists with guns (protected by the cops) can kill discriminated folks without guns.

I understand that because of systemic racism and rightwing judges, it is probably also much more likely for a black person to receive a sentence for domestic abuse than for a white male.

But should domestic abusers really have access to guns?

Please tell me, I am genuinely interested in the arguments.
