When your kids cook, be on your guard
to ensure your house isn’t charred.
Although love may be one large part
of the recipe for jam tart,
your kitchen will be a junkyard.

Better they cook in the backyard
or, if possible, a farmyard.
Come cleanup time, you’ll know what’s smart
when your kids cook.

When you end up with no one scarred
and they hold you in high regard,
you’ll be thankful for your black heart
and the wine you bought by the quart
to drink while standing guard
when your kids cook.

Nurturing Not Grasping

Say goodbye to a subspecies, the very last male Northern White Rhino. It survived 55 million years & saw ice ages, earthquakes, meteor strikes & was a testament to innumerable historical changes on the planet. It could not survive humans.
