Mylena Masache and the #frog #species she discovered *while an undergrad* at Pontificia Universidad Católica del #Ecuador in #Quito

She and her colleagues named the frog after Neisi Dajomes, the first Ecuadorian woman to win Olympic gold, at the Tokyo 2020 Games: Nymphargus dajomesae

The species is a glassfrog and is a sign of a much larger #amphibian hotspot in the Cordillera del Cóndor

Mylena is now in grad school at UC Berkeley

Why do some clades contain far more #species than others? By testing competing explanations across terrestrial #vertebrates, this study reveals that #biodiversity patterns are most often shaped by long-term productivity-driven equilibrium dynamics @PLOSBiology https://plos.io/4vuS10G

luna (shubijubi)

All luna has is cat ears, so does that make luna beastfolk, a furry?
She socializes with a demon (Yubi), & had a werecat form.
I'm not sure if I should f*** her as a human, or eat her as an animal, or are the cat ears a result of the demon's curse?
Though given luna's luck of expansion, it might cause any who eat her or drink her blood to expand as well.

“Suffer not the alien. Suffer not the heretic. Suffer not the mutant.”-Warhammer 40K

Glory to Mankind!
The alien, gods, demons, beings from beyond the stars, they com for souls or your world, would you surrender so easily? Fight or die.

Burn the beast, beastfolk, furries whatever, for they are not but wild animals & should be haunted as such.

Execute the Elves for they are not but spirits or demons, slavers who would not hesitate slay you.

If we don't meet #human #rights, and create #thriving, that is utter failure. That is a #species that has no right to exist because they have shit all over the gift they have been given. Right, like so if #suicide #by #nuclear #weapons is what we're going to choose can we speed up the process?
Warming climate mean some N.B. birds could find new homes, while other species arrive
A new report says warming temperatures could lead to the departure and arrival of some bird species in New Brunswick. Climate Central, a U.S. nonprofit research organization, found that 44 species in the province are at risk if the planet warms to 3 C above pre-industrial temperatures.
