I've spent the evenings (and weekends) of the last two weeks building something. Stencil, a file renaming utility, written in #Rust and #GTK4 / #libadwaita. It's not quite ready for release yet, but it's getting there.

This is my first app written for #GNOME, and it's incredibly fun.

Why does #GTK4 consume almost an order of magnitude higher RAM, to say nowt of CPU cycles, than #GTK3, to render a widget factory? GTK3 also has escalated fuel consumption over GTK2. #lang_en
