Monarch feeding on Butterfly Weed in my garden.

I'll need to check to see if there are any eggs or larva. Their caterpillars feed on the leaves.

Handheld photo of the #moon taken in the yard one morning last week. Not NASA level, but still surprises me what cameras can do these days. This is my basic DSLR, more than 10 years old, lens only 18-300 (for non-photographers, that is not a long lens!) no tripod, cropped, sharpened a bit and background cleaned up in editing.

Probably our largest + flashiest #Butterfly Canadian Tiger Swallowtail Papilio canadensis they visit all sorts of flowers from native Honeysuckles to Dandelions but *love* Lilacs. Easiest to get photos on this since they're really dug in (still move a lot + the flowers on this one are very high) short video YouTube link Spectra to follow
