777exi Ⓥ//⁴²⁰//⚤♡⃛🌈//🍉₊✩‧₊˚౨ৎ˚₊✩‧₊Logically— a #vegan person would want all humans forcibly #sterilized waaaay before animals would be. It's human over population that is causing starvation and #animalhomelessness, not the other way around. Animals that have been "domesticated" like dogs and cats ALREADY have totally isolating social structures between other members of their species. Structures based totally around human desires (if a dog is lucky they were adopted and go to Doggy Day Care once a week type thing). If you know a dog, on average they probably don't have any connections to their parents or siblings. I have a hard enough time making friends personally.. to be a victim of the #petindustry is unimaginable to me.
It just doesn’t make any sense to me that the answer to the problems that humans created— is to say, “Welp, I guess there are too many of you“ — and then proceed to cut their balls off. (Continued in thread)

Really interesting stuff. Living in a not so great place for my reproductive rights is genuinely scary. Since becoming an #antinatalist this past year I can say that I would get sterilized, if the procedure was safer. You can read in the article about this, but women’s healthcare is shamefully under researched and funded, like many #sexist things in this world. I would feel a lot safer if my partner were to get a vasectomy instead, personally.
I’m also interested in how the conversation of #bodilyautonomy and #reproductiverights relates to animals through the lens of #veganism -The past couple of years I’ve developed a rare opinion in that I don’t think we should be sterilizing animals without their consent.That sterilization is a form of #eugenics and that forced sterilization is #speciest. People get really mad about this in the #vegan community, but not a person has addressed my reasoning whenever I have brought it up.
