A new study finds that one's moral philosophy, more than their political ideology, predicts their support for banning practices they find immoral. This difference helps explain a deep-seated source of political disagreement.
It's very important for people to understand and remember that the mere fact that differing #opinions on a topic may exist or be held by some number of persons, this is no indication that all opinions are equally supported by #evidence and #reason.
Only those positions which can be justified based upon evidence, reason, and self-consistency with preceding #principles ought to be regarded as reasonable and sound.
