I dunno if I am just a Gender Rebel or if I am letting science get in way of my Science Fiction but Star Trek really bothers me. Like a Horse and a Donkey can have a Mule but that is completely sterile. Then you can fly all the way to Vulcan or Kronos, fuck a klingon or a vulkan and have offspring. Wut?

Also there are things like the Binars and the Denobulans that have genders outside the binary and Trip got pregnant that one time but still most species are predominantly Male = Dick-Havers and Females = Uterus havers and like why do they have those in the first place?! How has evolution converged that much? How is "Funny looking stick" the epitomy of all sexual organs that somehow every race has? Seems like a liability to Klingons. You'd think something more like a cloaca would make more sense around all those Bat'leths and violence.

How is it that Lwaxana Troi can just boink everyone and have kids? Humans, people with dying suns and weird cultural rules about dying at 60. Fluxona was the first OG monster fucker as she was also interested in Odo but STILL. How do the Betazoids do it? It seems impossible. It makes no sense. None at all for Gender to be binary and dimorphic EXACTLY like humans were from different primordial soup on different planets with different environmental conditions?

We shouldn't be having half-vulkans or half klingons we should get Kirk asking if he thinks he got this woman pregnant then the signature eyebrow raise from Spock "Unlikely, Captain, Human sperm do not have the motile force to counter the Xxyzzl Gap. Why Star Trek?! WHY?! Also why can these kinds of thoughts about hypothetical problems keep me up at night?

My kid has a good friend in the neighborhood. They love to hang out pretty much everyday. It is so hard for me to not embarrass them because they make a "cute couple".

I'm beginning to wonder if I've been asking myself a question the wrong way round.

I've been asking myself: "Am I non-binary?"

I'm thinking that maybe I should be asking myself: "Am I binary?"

I already realise that sex/gender are a spectrum.

So is it even really possible for me to be a binary trans fem if the very concept of a sex/gender binary is demonstrably false???

Tonight I attended the #BriannaGhey vigil in Cardiff, so lovely to see so many #trans #nonbinary people out in numbers. The speakers were amazing. Truly felt part of something and part of a people.
