The dwarven city cross section map is finally finished. A geological survey focused on rock types feels a likely product of an underground society. As a result I’ve made the strata and faults of the rocks the most vibrant and detailed part of the map, leaving the tunnels and buildings as mostly negative space. I had been using a python script for this but gave up when it over smoothed everything, and eventually got better results using World Creator, which I paid for a months subscription for. It wasn’t easy to get right here either, but I’ve now got erosion features I am mostly happy with. I think the “scale” of these features is still wrong, the Moonshea isles are as big as Great Britain, so the valleys should be smaller than seen here #Faerun #roleplaying #ttrpg #gamemaps
